While the Debussy pieces seem to be located on the springlike, summery side, the Ravel piece fits the latter half of the year. Speaking of which: the trascription by Tortelier is excellent. It captures the essence of the original trio magnificently and transforms it into a piece that can very well stand its ground besides such masterpieces as La Mer. This is a very, very nice CD."

"Ci sono molte registrazioni del Primo Concerto di Shostakovich che sono più famose, ma poche sono migliori. Grazie all'arte di Kasman e di Leducq-Barome, il concerto risuona per quello che è, o meglio, per quello che dovrebbe essere: una chiacchierata costante, un dialogo tra due (o tre) persone, rappresentate dal pianoforte, dall'orchestra e dalla tromba - voci che, grazie alla sensibilità e all'intelligenza artistica di Kasman e di Leducq-Barome, sono unite in un magnifico flusso musicale. Il finale, e ciò è davvero lodevole, è suonato come è stato scritto, cioè senza gli eccessivi rubati e i cambiamenti di tempo che troppo spesso vengono applicati da molti dei colleghi più famosi di Kasman. Nello stesso CD, si trova l'incisione della Sinfonia da Camera di Shostakovich - una scelta davvero sensata -  e il Concerto veramente meraviglioso e troppo poco eseguito di Schnittke. Questa registrazione è caldamente raccomandata."
